Steve Roach is an appraiser based in Washington, DC, and Cincinnati, Ohio. He is an expert in rare coins and medals with a secondary expertise in European and American paintings, sculpture and works on paper.
He has published more than 600 articles and newspaper stories on rare coins and his opinions on the rare coin market have been sought by numerous publications and media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Business Week and others. He has experience in a variety of challenging appraisal projects, from valuing individual collections, institutional holdings for public museums and private foundations, and entire coin shops.
Steve actively volunteers at coin shows across the country as an exhibit judge and frequent speaker. He teaches courses for the American Numismatic Association Summer Seminar at the Colorado College and helps new people discover what's often called, "The king of hobbies and the hobby of kings."

Meredith earned her Bachelor’s degree in Classical Studies and Art History from Duke University in 2000, and a Master’s degree in Modern Art, Connoisseurship, and the History of the Art Market from Christie's Education in New York in 2001. She spent the next five years in the Christie's New York Antiquities Department as sale coordinator and cataloguer of ancient Greek, Roman, Egyptian, and Near Eastern works of art.

Meredith joined Heritage Auctions in 2007 as Senior Consignment Director in the Fine & Decorative Arts Department, overseeing two auctions each year. In January 2010, she became the Director of Appraisal Services, preparing formal appraisals for more than 35 specialist categories. She regularly publishes and lectures for Heritage on fine art, decorative art, collectibles, and appraisals.

In addition to her duties at Heritage, Meredith participates as an appraiser for the Antiques Roadshow on PBS, specializing in Glass, Silver, and Decorative Arts. Meredith is an accredited member of the International Society of Appraisers, serving on the Fine Art committee. She is also a board member of the Foundation for Appraisal Education.

Michael Logan has over 25 years’ experience researching and evaluating antiques and the various markets in which they are sold. Michael has attended numerous seminars, exhibitions, shows, and fairs in the United States and England providing access to current markets, resources and sales comparison opportunities. He has completed appraisal coursework with ISA through the University of Maryland and has attended study groups at Winterthur, the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts, and The Victoria and Albert Museum. He has done specialty studies in needlework including schoolgirl samplers and silkworks, French and American pottery, English ceramics, furniture and silver. In his former antiques business, TRACE of TIME ®, he exhibited at quality shows in cities including Philadelphia, Raleigh, Atlanta and Nashville.

He is an International Society of Appraisers Certified Appraiser of Personal Property specializing in Antiques, Furmishings and Decorative Arts. (AF+DA). Carol is one of the most active estate sellers and appraisers in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area, and has been in the business more than 20 years. She has been an active ISA member since 2002. She has been hired to both value and liquidate some of the most well-known and complex estates in Dallas.
She has also lectured to AARP chapters, the Junior League of Dallas, local Bar Association groups, an estate planning council, and for the Private Client Group of a major national bank.
Carol is an Accredited Member of ISA, and a former President of the North Texas ISA chapter, the largest ISA affiliate. She currently serves ISA nationally as Chapter Relations Committee Chairperson. Benjamin Macklowe joined Macklowe Gallery in 1994, was appointed Managing Director in 2002 and became its President in 2012. Under his leadership Macklowe Gallery has become the world’s most respected dealer of Antique and Estate Jewelry, French Art Nouveau decorative arts and the entire oeuvre of Louis Comfort Tiffany. Mr. Macklowe has appeared on television to discuss Tiffany lamps with Martha Stewart, lectured on the art glass of Emile Gallé at the Taft Museum of Art and has taught about Art Nouveau jewelry at Christie’s auction house on multiple occasions. Nica Gutman Rieppi is Principal Investigator for Art Analysis and Research (US) LLC, the global leading art forensics and testing company. With over 20 years of experience, Ms. Rieppi has worked with the foremost appraisers, art advisors, auction houses and private collectors around the world, providing them with scientific evidence to support complex issues surrounding authenticity and attribution. Ms. Rieppi obtained dual Master of Arts degrees, in both Art Conservation and Art History, as well as a Certificate of Advanced Study in Paintings Conservation. She has worked at world-class institutions, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and for 12 years, was responsible for the technical analysis of Old Master paintings from the Samuel H. Kress collection. Ms. Rieppi is a respected speaker and lecturer, and has taught scientific art analysis for the esteemed graduate programs at the Institute of Fine Arts at NYU, Sotheby’s Institute NY, Summer Institute in Technical Art History (SITAH) as well as the Summer Teachers Institute in Technical Art History (STITAH), which is a collaboration between the Institute of Fine Arts and the Yale University Art Gallery.   Hiding in Plain Sight: Why Most Fakes and Forgeries Go Undetected

Carol Madden originally from Southold, New York on eastern Long Island started out as a Realtor in the late 1970’s in Miami, Florida.

In 1984 she moved back to New York eventually settling in northern New Jersey. She and her husband Bill started attending estate sales and auctions collecting antique bottles, porcelain enamel signs, ephemera and vintage and antique furniture and smalls.

By 1986 the collections had grown to a point where Carol needed to sell some of their collections off so they could continue collecting. She became friends with an antique dealer who suggested she start her own antique business. Cheshire Cat Antiques was created in late 1986.

In 1987 a customer came into the antique center she was selling in and asked if she could buy the contents of his mother’s estate. This wasn’t feasible, but Carol suggested having an estate sale. That was to be the beginning of an estate liquidation business, New Jersey Estate and Moving sales.

During this time she was also Vice President of the Associated Antique Dealers of New Jersey and promoted and conducted several antique shows in northern New Jersey for a variety of non-profit organizations.

Her multi faceted business continued until early 2011. She closed her antique business and sold New Jersey Estate and Moving Sales. In late 2012 she decided to give back to an industry that had been rewarding to her by starting a nationwide online blog magazine, EstateSalesNews.com.

Writing and publishing since March 2013 Carol writes about a variety of topics and gives advice to sellers, buyers and estate sale companies. EstateSalesNews.com has traveled crisscrossed the country covering estate sales and networking with estate liquidators.

Judith M Martin of Wheaton IL is a certified member of the International Society of Appraisers. Judith is a member of the Board of Directors of ISA . Ms. Martin served as the President of ISA from 2009 - 2011.

Ms. Martin is Certified in Antiques and Residential Contents having passed her exams and peer review of appraisal work. She is qualified to appraise general personal property ranging from antiques to contemporary furnishings covering many varied types of property. Her specialty is correct appraisal methodology for the project at hand.

Ms Martin was the past lead instructor of the ISA Appraisal Theory and Methodology course for over five years. She was a contributor to the manual and exams within the course and served as the Chair of Appraisal Studies for over 4 years. She left that position to take her elected post to the ISA Board of Directors in 2007. She was voted President in October 2009 by acclimation.

Judith is the owner of The Perfect Thing Inc located in Wheaton Illinois. The high end consignment shop is considered one of the finest in the country. The shop is open to the public every day and has a full time staff working for Ms Martin. The shop sells over 1million dollars in fine furnishings, paintings, tableware, collectables, rugs and more per year. The Perfect Thing Inc also conducts large estate and/or moving sales directly from the premises. Formerly known as M & M Sales, Judith has been in the estate liquidation business for over 20 years.

Judith has received the ISA Presidents Award, 2008, Lamp of Knowledge Award, 2007, Outstanding Member 2000, and numerous service awards from ISA. She has been active member of the local Greater Illinois Chapter of ISA for over 15 years. Sanjay Kapoor is a fourth-generation dealer with Kapoor Galleries. He completed the Indian art course at SOAS in 2014 and is the gallery’s point person for all social media and digital communication. Alongside his grandfather Ramesh and Ramesh's son, Suneet, Sanjay continues to promote the gallery's commitment to excellence in Indian subcontinental and Himalayan art. The family business is consistently custodian to top-quality bronzes, sculptures, and thangkas, many of which have been collected and showcased by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Norton Simon Museum, Art Institute of Chicago, San Diego Museum of Art, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts among others.

Sanjay distinguishes himself as a dealer with a well-rounded attention to detail. Prior to joining Kapoor Galleries, he studied computer processors and neuroscience at SUNY Stony Brook and worked as an Emergency Medical Technician, soon focusing on wellness as a licensed personal trainer. Dr. Henry Adams

Professor Adams is a graduate of Harvard University, and received his M.A. and PH.D. from Yale, where he received the Frances Blanshard Prize for the best doctoral dissertation in art history. He is the author of over 300 scholarly and popular articles, ranging over the American field from the 17th century to the present, as well as of about 14 books or book-length exhibition catalogues. Among these are Eakins Revealed, which the painter Andrew Wyeth described as “without question the most extraordinary biography I have ever read on an artist,” and Tom and Jack: The Intertwined Lives of Thomas Hart Benton and Jackson Pollock, of which Donna Seaman wrote in Booklist:
“Adams practices art history with a novelist’s narrative skills and psychological acuity, a sleuth’s instincts, a passion for aesthetic and technical explications, and a gift for sea change interpretations… Encompassing a stunning discovery by his art-historian wife, Adams’ commanding, corrective double portrait reveals myriad camouflaged truths.”
In 1985, Prof. Adams received the Arthur Kingsley Porter Prize of the College Art Association, the first time this had been awarded to an Americanist or a Museum Curator. In 1989, when he was a curator at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, William Jewell College awarded him its distinguished service medal for his services to Kansas City and the Midwest. In 2001, when he was a curator at the Cleveland Museum of Art, he received the Northern Ohio Live Visual Arts Award for the best art exhibition of the year in Northern Ohio. In April 2010, The Beauty of Damage, a Tom Ball/Telos Production film that he initiated and scripted with Tom Ball won the Kodak Best Ohio Short Film at the 34th Cleveland International Film Festival. In June 2010 he received the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Cleveland Arts Prize. In 1989, in partnership with film maker Ken Burns, Adams produced a documentary on Thomas Hart Benton which was broadcast nationally on PBS to an audience of 20 million.

Libby Holloway has been a member of ISA for 19 years. In that time she has served on the board for six years and on many committees, both as member and chairperson. She is currently serving as the Development Coordinator for ISA and as one of the AF+DA instructors team. Libby has held a CAPP designation in AF+DA for several years and has recently completed the FA course. She enjoys promoting the appraisal profession and ISA through speaking, teaching and writing articles.

Tim Luke has over 27 years experience in benefit auctions, fine & decorative arts, memorabilia, antiques and collectibles. He was featured on HGTV’s “Cash in the Attic” and had participated on Public Televisions’s "Antiques Roadshow." He is president and co-owner of an auction, events & appraisal business, TreasureQuest Group, Inc.

Prior to starting his business, he worked at Christie’s auction house in New York City as the Director of the Collectibles Department. Tim is a proud and active member of the National Auctioneers Association achieving designations from the Certified Auctioneers Institute, Benefit Auctioneer Specialist and Master Personal Property Appraiser.
