Arun Sharma, BDS, MSc

Dr. Sharma is a Clinical Professor in the Division of Prosthodontics at the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. Dr. Sharma is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. He maintains a private practice, and is the Assistant Director of the graduate program in prosthodontics at UCSF. Dr. Sharma received his dental degree from the University of Bombay in 1983 and a Masters in Prosthetic Dentistry from the University of London. He then completed a prosthodontic residency from UCSF and a maxillofacial prosthetic residency from UCLA. Dr. Sharma has contributed to three textbooks and authored many articles. He has served as the Assistant Editor of the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and is currently the Vice Chair of the Editorial Council of the JPD. He is Vice President Elect for the American Prosthodontic Society and a Past President of the Pacific Coast Society for Prosthodontics.

Alon Preiskel, BDS, MRD

Dr Alon Preiskel is a registered specialist in fixed and removable Prosthodontics. He specialises in dental rehabilitation, aesthetics as well as surgical implant placement. His area of interest are particularly the use of 3D imaging and CAD-CAM technologies to aid planning and restorative treatment.

Dr Preiskel completed his four year specialist training program at Guy's Hospital. He graduated dental school at Guy’s Hospital and continued his professional training in oral and maxillo-facial surgery. He obtained his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery in 2003 and then went on to teach Oral Surgery at King’s College dental hospital. Dr Preiskel has trained in USA and completed an implant training program at The Institute of Facial Aesthetics, Philadelphia. He participated in an elective program with the Prosthodontics department at New York University.

Dr Preiskel plays an active role in several dental associations and has presented his research in the field of dental implants to the International College of Prosthodontics meeting in Japan and to the American Prosthodontic Society as a finalist in the graduate prosthodontic prize.

Dr Preiskel is the Program Coordinator for the implant diploma at the Eastman Dental Institute and is an official mentor for the Nobel Biocare implant company.

Salvatore J. Esposito, DMD

Dr. Esposito, D.M.D., F.I.C.D. is a Prothodontist and, more specifically, a Maxillofacial Prosthodontist. Prosthodontics is a dental specialty that usually takes 4 additional years of training following dental school. It is a specialty that involves the replacement of missing teeth and other structures of the mouth and/or face that are missing or defective.

Dr. Esposito is past Chairman of the Department of Dentistry, Oral Surgery and Maxillofacial Prosthetics at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, a position he held for 23 years. Prior to that, he was head of the Section of Maxillofacial Prosthetics at the Metrohealth Medical Center. Dr. Esposito is currently President of the Maxillofacial Foundation and is Executive Director of the American Prosthodontic Society. He also serves on the Executive Council of the International Society of Maxillofacial Rehabilitation, the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, and the American Prosthodontic Society.

He holds memberships in the International College of Dentists, the Academy of Prosthodontics, the American Prosthodontic Society, the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, the International Society of Maxillofacial Rehabilitation, the American Dental Association, and the Cleveland Dental Society. In addition, he is past President of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, the American Prosthodontic Society, and the International Society of Maxillofacial Rehabilitation, and has served on the board of directors of the American Cancer Society and the Greater Cleveland Dental Society.

Dr. Esposito is an adjunct Associate Professor at the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine and Dental Medicine and holds visiting professorships at the UCLA and SUNY at Buffalo Colleges of Dentistry and the University of Turin in Torino, Italy. He has lectured worldwide on the subjects of complete and implant retained dentures as well as the prosthetic rehabilitation of head and neck deformities. Among his many awards are the prestigious Andrew J. Ackerman Award for outstanding service to the specialty of maxillofacial prosthetics, the Thai (Thailand) Prosthodontic Award, and the Founders Medal from the International Society of Maxillofacial Rehabilitation.

He has been recognized as one of the top 100 dentists in the U.S. He has published a textbook titled Maxillofacial Rehabilitation, and has over 50 published articles and book chapters in medical and dental literature. His practice is limited to complete and partial dentures, implant supported prostheses and the prosthetic management of patients with head and neck deformities.

John Beumer III, DDS, MS

Distinguished Professor Emeritus

John Beumer received his dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco in 1967. He went on to complete residency programs in Oral Medicine (UCSF) and Prosthodontics (UCLA). He joined the faculty at UCLA in 1972, served the school in various administrative capacities, and directed the residency program in Maxillofacial Prosthetics from 1977 until his retirement in 2010. He has published extensively and is the editor of textbooks devoted to Maxillofacial Prosthetics (now in its 3rd edition) and Implant Prosthodontics. He is currently Distinguished Professor Emeritus at UCLA and working on the 2nd edition of his textbook devoted to Implant Prosthodontics.

Kirk Pasquinelli, DDS

Dr. Kirk Pasquinelli received his doctorate in dental surgery from the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry. He completed a general practice hospital based residency at Mount Zion Medical Center and remained on the hospital dental and training staff while also practicing restorative dentistry in San Francisco. He received his periodontal training at the University of Washington in Seattle.

He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry, Division of Graduate Prosthodontics and has taught continuing dental education at both UCSF and the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. He is on the faculty of the Interdisciplinary Dental Education Academy as well as the Foundation for Advanced Continuing Education. Dr. Pasquinelli continues to teach select groups nationally and internationally and has authored numerous articles in the periodontal and restorative dentistry literature.

He is a consultant for the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry as well as the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry.

Peter Moy, DMD

Peter K. Moy, DMD is a clinical professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery in the Division of Diagnostic & Surgical Sciences at the UCLA School of Dentistry. He is the first person to hold the Nobel Biocare Endowed Chair in Surgical Implant Dentistry. He also serves as the director of the UCLA Dental Implant Center and the Straumann Surgical Dental Clinic. Dr. Moy treat patients in the UCLA Straumann Surgical Dental Clinic as well as in his private practice located in Brentwood, California.

Dr. Moy is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Pittsburgh. He completed a general practice residency at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii and his oral & maxillofacial surgery training at the University of California Los Angeles Medical Center.

Dr. Moy is an associate editor of the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants and a reviewing editor of the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research. Dr. McLaren is a Prosthodontist and Master Dental Ceramist, Professor at the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Dentistry, founder director of the Advanced Dental Esthetics, Restorative & Biomaterials Program, founder and director 3-year advanced ceramics and digital technology for technicians program, founder and director one-year esthetic and restorative fellowship.

Dr. McLaren was formerly Professor and founder and director of Post Graduate Esthetic Dentistry at the UCLA school of Dentistry. He was the director of the UCLA Center for Esthetic Dentistry, a full time didactic and clinical program for graduate dentists. He was also the founder and director of the UCLA/LACC Master Dental Ceramist program. The post-graduate program is a full time master ceramist program for dental technicians featuring extensive experience with the newest esthetic restorative systems. Dr. McLaren maintained a private practice limited to prosthodontics and esthetic dentistry in which he did all of his own ceramics during his time at UCLA.

Dr. McLaren is actively involved in many areas of prosthodontic and materials research and has authored or co-authored over 85 articles. He is performing ongoing clinical research on various restorative systems. He has presented numerous lectures, hands-on clinics and postgraduate courses on ceramics and esthetics across the nation and internationally. He recently published a book, on his ceramic techniques and features dental photographic art, entitled, “The Art of Passion: Ceramics, Teeth, Faces, and Places".

Lawrence E. Brecht, DDS, is the Director of Maxillofacial Prosthetics at New York University College of Dentistry in the Jonathan & Maxine Ferencz Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics. He has a joint appointment at the myFace Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, Hansjörg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery of New York University Langone Medical Center where he serves on the Institute’s Cleft Palate, Craniofacial, Ear Anomalies and Facial Transplant teams. Dr. Brecht also hold an appointment in the Department of Otolarygnology at NYU Langone as well. Dr. Brecht received his DDS from New York University and completed a residency at Boston’s Brigham & Women’s Hospital and a Fellowship at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He then earned his Certificates in both Prosthodontics, as well as Maxillofacial Prosthetics from the New York Veterans Administration Hospital. He also holds adjunct faculty positions at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. In addition to memberships in many prosthodontic organizations, he is a past-president of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics as well as a past-president of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics. He is a frequent contributor to the plastic and maxillofacial prosthetics literature and serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, The International Journal of Prosthodontics and Journal of Prosthodontics. Dr. Brecht serves on the Medical Advisory Board of myFace, a charitable organization that supports children with craniofacial conditions and their families. Dr. Peter S. Wöhrle received his DMD degree (cum laude) and a Master of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology from Harvard University. In addition, Dr. Wöhrle completed the Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics and the Advanced Education Program in Implant Dentistry at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and a four-year certified dental technician program in Switzerland.

While at Harvard, he worked with his mentor, Dr. Paul Schnitman, on the groundbreaking concept of immediate loading of Branemark implants. Once in private practice in Newport Beach, California, Dr. Wöhrle applied these principles to the concept of immediate tooth replacement in the aesthetic zone.

More recently, Dr. Wöhrle focuses on the development of enhanced implant designs and on improving the digital workflow as it relates to Implant Dentistry.

He currently holds academic affiliations at the University of Washington, and is a resident faculty at SPEAR Education in Scottsdale Arizona.

He is a member of several organizations including: American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, and the International College of Dentist.
He also serves as a member on the editorial board of the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry. (JERD), The Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry (JCD) and Compendium.

Dr. Mitrani has authored numerous scientific publications and chapters in text books in the fields of Implant Prosthodontics and Aesthetic dentistry, and has given more than 450 lectures in over 28 countries around the globe. Dr. Christian Coachman graduated in Dental Technology in 1995 and in Dentistry at the University of São Paulo/Brazil in 2002. He is a member of the Brazilian and American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. Moreover, Dr. Coachman attended the Ceramic Specialization Program at the Ceramoart Training Center, where he also became an instructor.

In 2004, Dr. Coachman was invited by Dr. Goldstein, Garber, and Salama, of Team Atlanta, to become Head Ceramist of their laboratory, a position he held for over 4 years.

Dr. Coachman worked with many leading dentists around the world as Dr Van Dooren (Belgium), Gurel (Turkey), Fradeani (Italy), Bichacho (Israel), Ricci (Italy) and Calamita (Brazil).

Currently divides his time between his family Dental Clinic in Sao Paulo-Brasil, together with his father and brother, and the Digital Smile Design HQ in Madrid, Spain. He is the Director of the DSD Residency program with continuing education courses for dental professionals from all over the world. Also works as a consultant for Dental companies and offices, developing products and implementing concepts and has lectured and published internationally in the fields of esthetic dentistry, dental photography, oral rehabilitation, dental ceramics and implants.

He is the developer of techniques at the Pink Hybrid Implant Restoration, the Digital Smile Design and the Virtual Lab concepts.

She is designated vice-president of the International College of Prosthodontics and of the Swiss section of the International Team of Implantology.

Dr. Raigrodski is a Professor at the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Washington. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and maintains a private practice in Lynnwood, WA. He is Assistant Editor of The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and a member of the editorial review boards of other peer reviewed journals. He currently serves as President of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. An author of numerous scientific articles and book chapters, Dr. Raigrodski is the Author of the book “Soft Tissue Management: The Restorative Perspective-Putting Concepts into Practice” published in 2015 by Quintessence. He lectures extensively both nationally and internationally.
